The Opportunity

Macildowie Marketing are working exclusively with a leading charitable organisation based in Derby who aim to improve wellbeing for their target audience by offering help and support financially, emotionally and vocationally and delivering a helping hand and support in times of need and crisis. This is a new position which has been created during a period of growth as the Marketing division increases in size and influence.

This role would ideally suit a graduate in marketing or communications with experience in the media sector or journalism. You must be able to build and maintain solid relationships at all levels across marketing, fundraising, HR and the Heads of Department and be an intuitive communicator who understands both the company and third-party interests and can create win/win situations.

Key Responsibilities

-Copywriting or proof reading of all internal and external communications
-Targeting of external media to ensure coverage
-Organisation of targeted press releases in appropriate mediums and identifying and reporting on competitor press activity to ensure competitive advantage
-Act as key point of contact internally and externally for all Press Relations activity
-Creation and management of the organisation's content calendar
-Co-ordination and ownership of social media, email and other communications activity
-Assist in devising strategies with PR agency to enhance the company and brand proposition
-Ensure the company profile remains high across all geographic territories and consumer segments
-Creation of archiving system for all press activity to be used internally and given to external stakeholder functions
-Publish internal newsletters, evaluate their strengths as a channel for conveying general information
-Distribute advance notices to ensure team members feel included in the development of the business
-Organise internal events as well as teleconferencing or road shows to communicate across multiple-site operations
-Manage group-wide intranets to ensure cross-divisional communication
