We have a number of exciting Business Development Manager opportunities for our growing alternative lender client. They are going through a period of growth and are looking to establish a national team of BDM's throughout the Midlands and the North.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

·Proactively seek new clients and revenue for the company and effectively convert lead opportunities

·Deliver excellent customer service to all clients, prospect clients, internal and external customers

·Maximise business opportunities by using best practice

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Build and maintain new and existing relationships with introductory sources for example financial brokers, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, clients etc.
  • Achieve own targets of new deals and minimum fees, for example, by:

· Building and maintaining a level of new enquiries; attend networking events and identify and secure opportunities for new business and contacts

· Conduct sales meetings with prospective clients when required; complete risk templates for sanction of the facility; chase outstanding enquiries and paperwork on deals; attend sales team meetings.

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the asset based finance industry including our products and services, clients, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry and market
  • Support and liaise with all other staff
  • Promote and represent the brand and services; demonstrate you are an ambassador for the company
  • Consistently provide accurate information to the Finance function toassist in the production and completion of weekly and monthly sales analysis and reports

KEY SKILLS:

  • Maintain high level professional conduct with internal and external customers and introducers via face to face, telephone, email and written communication
  • Establishes and maintains a professional + 'expert’ relationship with introducers, prospect clients, internal and external customers. Understands and is interested in client’s business and actively demonstrates being pivotal in the relationship between Operations and Sales
  • Good listening skills, understands how and when to action information, to the appropriate person
  • Sees things from prospect clients, introducers, internal and external customers point of view; identifies their needs and has a proactive approach to building relationships and maintaining them
  • Meticulous and tenacious in ensuring all work produced is accurate
  • Takes responsibility for actions, seek opportunities to create new leads; manages time, prioritises work and plans ahead
  • Demonstrates an ability to work with numbers
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge. Good keyboard skills and competent user of other Microsoft Office including Power point
  • Use, develop and sell the products and processes; be proactive in acquiring knowledge of products
  • Understand the importance of legal documentation and the impact on the company of ensuring these are correct

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

·Experience - proven experience of working in a sales related environment

· Skills - Numeracy and literacy;IT- Microsoft Office, in particular Excel; planning and organising; Customer service skills and ability to work alone whilst being a team player

·Qualifications - Educated to at least A Level standard and pass their Intelligence test

· Full driving licence

DESIRABLE FOR THE ROLE:

· Experience - sales experience - face to face (in the financial sector helpful)

· Skills - Finance product knowledge, experience supporting marketing and sales events

Salary= £25,000 + uncapped commission and earning potential (OTE £60K +)
