Head of Development
Working alongside your customer you are responsible for the development and delivery of all capital investment projects, including conversions and major refurbishments, within Craft Union. You will be responsible for delivering these projects, within a defined capital budget, using a team of property professionals in conjunction with out-sourced consultants and suppliers. You will deliver high standards of cost control, value and service excellence, to deliver best in class pubs, which are fit for the future. You will ensure capital is spent to underpin delivery of the best financial returns, income growth, excellent operational performance as well as the Group strategic objectives. In doing so, you will be at the forefront of innovation, exceptional customer service and delivery of best value to ensure every pound is spent wisely.
With the Operations Director you will plan and implement the delivery of capital investment activity to grow the business, delivering both excellent operational performance and optimal financial returns. The Head of Development is responsible for developing a property and maintenance strategy, which will be delivered by the Property Services Team, providing reactive and planned maintenance programmes.
The Head of Development is accountable for all investment activity within Craft Union and is expected to work proactively with the Operations Team to facilitate the best use of all property assets.
Critical to the role will be your inspirational leadership of a team of property professionals who will strive relentlessly for results. You will ensure learnings are shared across the wider Group, creating a culture of success and exceptional customer service whilst remaining true to the Group values.

Skills & Knowledge Required
The successful candidate will hold the following attributes:
- Ideally professionally qualified in RICS or CIOB
- 5 years’ experience in corporate Property Services at a managerial level
- Outstanding leadership and organisational skills
- A proven track record of budget control and value engineering
- Demonstrates a commitment and focus on customer service
