At Wallis Lynch we are working with a Studley based client, a leading business in their sector, to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their thriving finance team.
In this fantastic role you will be reviewing and analysing monthly statements to ensure their integrity and accuracy, you will be responsible for the training of non finance staff and managers on procedures and financial statements. You will act as a consultant to non finance managers by providing support, reporting data, and coming up with cost-saving initiatives, as well as participating in audits, preparing monthly account schedules, and meeting with other departments to gain an understanding of the business as a whole.
To be considered for this role it is desirable that you hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting and Finance. It is preferable, but not crucial, that you have some similar work experience. As the ideal candidate we are looking for, you will be ambitious and committed to progressing your career in future. It is also vital that you have excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
We are offering you a starting salary of £19-20k plus full study support, with a defined salary progression scheme rising up to £30k in your first 3 years, with a salary increase included for each professional exam passed. This is a role where it is imperative to be driven in your desire to progress within your role and the company, due to this we are looking for you to be committed to completing Professional Accountancy Qualifications.
