Job purpose

Due to growth we are currently looking for a recruitment professional to join our team as a Resourcing Consultant on a fixed term contract for 12 months to provide quality, effective and first class recruitment and resourcing advice to hiring managers within one of our Business Units for salaried roles, including senior management roles.

Please note this role is initially based in West Bromwich until March 2018, when we will move offices to our new Midlands Headquarters, Ingenuity House, at Birmingham International.

The Resourcing Consultant will co-ordinate all recruitment campaign activity in line with Interserve’s Resourcing processes and policies, ensuring that service standards and operational performance targets are met, whilst undertaking proactive sourcing for potential bid / mobilisation and line manager training.



Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate all recruitment campaign activity including: candidate generation, candidate screening, assessment and selection, stakeholder management and offer management for roles, including senior management roles in line with Interserve’s Resourcing processes and policies
  • Advising and supporting managers in selecting the appropriate job profiles, job banding, terms and reward package for roles including senior management roles
  • Where required providing stakeholders with benchmarking information / current market rates, for both internal and external roles
  • Actively support the selection of hires in the white collar / technical / management population
  • Ensure managers are adequately trained in recruitment and selection (applicant tracking system, interview skills, assessor training and selection centre protocols)
  • Manage and advise on the use of psychometric testing for relevant roles, ensuring adherence to policy
  • Manage / facilitate / support in selection centres where required
  • Advise up to a senior level on appropriate selection methods
  • Actively promote the Direct Sourcing, driving a culture of line managers using Direct Sourcing over agencies
  • Actively working with the Direct Sourcing to identify roles for talent pooling for the Commercial BU
  • Maximise the utilisation of the applicant tracking system and provide advice / support and train line managers on how to use the system and process
  • Manage agencies where required on process and calibre of candidates
  • Provide best practice advice and support to line managers on complex recruitment policy, practice and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance e.g. equal opportunities
  • Provided regular and meaningful recruitment reports to senior managers on their divisions recruitment activity and progress
  • Coach line managers to deliver best practise recruitment, delivering selection skills training, workshops and one to one to one support where needed
  • As directed by the Resourcing Business Partner, analyse recruitment data to provide effective and meaningful information for reporting on areas such as cost, KPIs, trends, volumes and sourcing activity
  • Where required supporting the Resourcing Business Partner to complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments, including proactive project management of recruitment for bids / mobilisations, increase to BAU vacancies due to business growth / contract awards, projects to up skill line manager capability such as leading Workshops / WebExs for large communities of TUPE’d line managers
  • Make recommendations to the Resourcing Business Partner for continuous improvements


Knowledge skills & experience

  • Working within a busy modern resourcing / recruitment team / function
  • Proven experience in managing a varied recruitment workload within the Facilities Management industry up to senior level
  • Experience in being accountable for the full recruitment lifecycle – ensuring authorisation compliance, advising on job descriptions, candidate sourcing, senior stakeholder management and engagement, assessment (where applicable), offer management and candidate feedback
  • Supporting at a senior level in selection activity
  • Training managers in effective recruitment and selection and the associated systems
  • Working with a Talent Acquisition or Applicant Tracking system
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of best practice recruitment processes and practices, and the ability to drive this through at all levels
  • Previous experience with Graduate Programme recruitment
  • Previous experience and successful delivery on projects
  • Commercially aware, understanding the impact and bigger picture of recruitment on the business
  • Experience in supporting with mobilising of new accounts would be advantageous
