SEND learning support practitioner required to start in September 2017 in Wednesbury. Full time.
Your new school
This co-educational primary school is looking to appoint a learning support practitioner to support pupils with SEND, to join their team from September 2017. This school has proven successful results with an "Outstanding" rating from Ofsted and support from the community.
Your new role
You will be supporting across the years working 1:1 with identified students with additional support needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and specific Learning Difficulties. You will have full guidance from the school SENCO including a full briefing in regards to the support needs of each individual at this friendly and warming primary school.
What you'll need to succeed for this job
In this new SEND learning support practitioner role, You will have specific SEND experience within a school setting preferably with experience in KS1 and KS2. You will be passionate about working with young people and supporting them in their development and engagement within a school setting. It is desirable to hold NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification and a grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE level.
