Senior Solicitor with extensive Childcare experience required to join a local authority in the West Midlands.

Hays are currently working in partnership with a well-established, leading local authority in the West Midlands. The organisation has excellent reputation and serves millions of customers each year. Due to their constant development and high demand of services, an excellent vacancy has arisen for a Senior Childcare Solicitor on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Working as part of the Legal Services Department you will be demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Children Act 1989, Adoption and Children Act 2002 and other relevant legislation, regulations and international law. You'll also have a good working knowledge of Family and Civil procedure rules. You will have significant advocacy experience as well as the ability to undertake a demanding and complex caseload.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be a UK qualified Solicitor with minimum of 5 years PQE and in-depth knowledge of Children Act 1989 and Adoption and Children Act 2002. You will also have experience in conducting your own advocacy, drafting relevant legal documents and managing complex caseload of childcare matters. You will also have experience in managing and training other staff members.
