The world leader in DTG-Printing and digital textile solutions for commercial and enterprise printing is looking for a home based Field Service Engineer (FSE). This is a great opportunity to work with a highly successful company.
The FSE's main responsibility is to provide efficient support to customers, both in the field and by use of remote support tools. Activities include installation, warranty services, planned maintenance service, machine repair, hardware and software upgrades, machine evaluation, machine relocations as well as participation in trade shows. You will also assist servicing dealers when they request additional support in their territories, either by remote service or on site.
*Installation of new machines
*Basic operator and maintenance training on customer site
*Provision of scheduled maintenance
*Remote diagnosis and phone support for customers
*On site repair
*Installation and operation of machines during trade shows and demos
*Perform installations of new printers according to factory standards
*Deliver end user training focusing on machine operation, routine maintenance work, and basic application knowledge
*Perform general maintenance to client systems
*Perform on-site trouble shooting and repair
*Perform remote trouble shooting
*Provide 1st level support to customers experiencing issues related to their printers and application software

Desired skills & experience
*Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology
*Minimum of five years' experience in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices
*Knowledge of industrial inkjet technology, RIP/color theory and materials/chemicals used in the printing industry, experience in textile printing would be helpful
*Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating system
*Self-motivating personality that can independently manage a large service territory
*Good communication skills and highly customer focused personality
*Required language skills: English (native speaker or equivalent competence), German would be a plus but is not a must
*This position requires extensive regional travel at short notice
