Zachary Daniels are recruiting for a unique role as a Communications Manager for a market-leading convenience retailer. You'll work as part of the central operations team and be responsible for the delivery of all internal and external communications and events within the business. This role is key to ensuring all communication channels are up-to-date, and relevant for customers, franchisees and all brands, products and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for fit for purpose daily & weekly communication for the whole business; stores/field/people/central support teams both internal and external and with Franchisees
  • Develop and build strong relationships with central support departments and brands - two way communication
  • Challenge and influence to ensure all communication is sent in a timely manner to deadline
  • Manages app stats, reporting and actions for Retail Operations
  • Supports communication tool development and drives innovative ideas to continually improve publications
  • Ensures single tone of voice and values context in all communications issued
  • Support the creation and implementation of the communications strategy - through technology platforms
  • Lead the delivery of prioritised, communication campaigns
  • Responsible for leading and arranging end to end on all franchisee meetings, colleague conferences, strategy days, and other wider business events as needed
  • Bring alive and owning our communication campaigns in an engaging and involving way
  • Recognise our teams communication needs, using the insight to develop effective and appropriate communication aligned to strategy and culture
  • Work closely with central support depts. to implement and develop new ways to communicate
  • Accountable for ensuring that the internal communications tool is managed effectively and kept up to date at all times i.e. internet and intranet

Ideal candidate requirements

  • Previous experience in employee, internal or external communications
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Background in Retail - must have previous experience in a store environment
  • Excellent Project management experience
  • Commerical Acumen
  • Good influencing skills
  • Engaging and compelling writing skills
  • Great interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships
  • Good presentation skills
