Electrical Design Engineer (AutoCAD 2D) - Process

£25p/h - £27 p/h (Ltd)

My client provides bespoke and turnkey project planning, mechanical and electrical installations, complete engineering design risk assessment and complete engineering project management to a variety of areas in the process industry. Typical projects centre around the design and build of new process plants for the food, beverage, brewery and pharmaceutical sectors.

My client has just won a £20m project in the pharmaceutical industry and are looking to engage with an experienced electrical design engineer to help them deliver the project. The project is a skid built pharmaceutical compounding facility, and will require a high level of instrumentation incorporated into the automated systems. Using AutoCAD 2D you will be tasked with completing the electrical designs.

The electrical engineering on the project is to include;

  • Cradle to grave design - involved at concept stage, taking the clients requirement and turning it into a fully detailed design. Your designs will constantly be check against the requirement

  • Design of electrical containment system for the project - skid mounted

  • Design of instrumentation circuits, including loop sheets, cut sheets, accuracy calculations

  • Design of cable runs and routing within the skids, tanks and vessels

  • Design of Wiring schedule & panels

  • Design of Devicenet networks

  • Appreciation of US standards

  • ACAD, ACAD electrical experience

Candidates must possess the following:

  • 5yrs minimum experience in a similar role

  • Expert user of AutoCAD 2D for electrical designs

  • Pharma Experience – understanding of requirements for validation, docs, certs, surface finishes etc.

  • Experience of working on large pharma projects of this type

  • High level experience in documentation and reporting

  • An understanding of US standards would be advantageous

  • AutoCAD Electrical skills would be useful

The company will offer the successful candidate:

  • £25p/h - £27p/h (Ltd)

  • An initial contract of up to 6 months with opportunities for extensions.
