Rail Infrastructure Project

Location: Derby

Permanent position: GBP28,000-GBP35,000 [DOE] + car/car allowance + attractive benefits

A UK leading infrastructure organisation is looking for a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join a high performing and successful team who will be delivering the infrastructure works as part of the Derby Station remodelling programme. ATA are working in partnership with this leading contractor in the build and development of this team, a crucial requirement being a Site Engineer to support the senior management team involved in various aspects of setting out, surveying and site documentation, supporting the delivery and performance of the project. This role will be purely dedicated to a high profile and complex project which will include a 24/7 blockade; to take on this challenge you will need to be flexible and motivated with real interest to get stuck into the project!

This project has an anticipated programme duration of 18 months; the company has a strong order book in rail and heavy civil engineering projects in the Midlands, providing the perfect opportunity for an individual looking to develop and build their career with a forward thinking and well thought of contractor in the industry.

Role Description

The successful Site Engineer will be responsible for:

Setting out/coordination of setting out of works, reading of detailed drawings/designs to ensure accuracy.

* Management of direct labour and materials on site.
* Management of all paperwork and site documentation, providing reports and updates to the Agent.
* Permits to Dig
* Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Daily briefings and supporting weekly programmes.
* Reporting into the site manager.


The successful Site Engineer will have skills, qualifications and experience in the following:

HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering.

Contracting background with success supporting the delivery of projects - some exposure within the rail sector is essential

Ability to set out

Able to travel around the Midlands.
