The Alina Homecare Bromsgrove branch are expanding and are looking to recruit someone to join their fantastic team!

The Bromsgrove branch provides high quality care to people living within their own homes in the following areas, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, Droitwich, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

Job Role

To assist the Branch (Registered) Manager in managing the delivery of all required care services within their assigned area, in a competent and professional manner. To respond to customer's requests for changes and to report concerns without delay to a senior member of the management team. All management roles require participation in the on call service to ensure that there is always support available for both customers and care workers and where necessary to seek support from the multi-disciplinary team.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch and ensuring compliance with all requirements of CQC via rostering, recording and reporting.
• Preparing staff rosters to ensure proper continuity in the delivery of care. Ensuring these rosters, and all changes, are properly communicated to customers and care workers. Re-allocating shifts as necessary, to cover staff absences.
• Accepting changes to visits as requested by customers, their friends and relatives.
• Accepting and implementing changes to care packages both long term and short term.
• Accepting new packages from a variety of referral routes.
• Supporting business development by providing all relevant information and leaflets to prospective new customers and visiting them in their home to discuss their requirements.
• Arranging initial visits to, and the assessment of, prospective customers to decide whether Alina Homecare is able to meet their personal care needs and negotiating an appropriate fee with the purchasing authority, or the customer or customer's family if not eligible for local authority support.
• Ensuring that each new customer receives a written copy of the terms and conditions of engagement and that each customer and, where appropriate, their representative or carer, understands them.
• Investigating complaints, taking appropriate remedial action and if required reporting this to senior management and/or the CQC.
• Liaising with and co-operating with CQC, Alina Homecare and Local Authority inspectors and inspections.
• Ensuring that effective induction, supervision and assessment of staff is carried out and that training needs are identified and met.
• Taking an active part in on call and emergency care responsibilities as required.
• Delivering personal and non-personal care to customers if necessary.
• Forward planning for training days for care workers ensuring that there is adequate staff coverage so as not to cause interruption to daily operations.
• Carrying out such other responsibilities as the Company's Directors may determine from time to time.
• To uphold any "reasonable management request" that the Registered Manager or company Directors deem to be within the post holders competence.

Personal Specification

Be experienced in providing personal care to a wide range of Service Users
Be of impeccable character.
Have genuine leadership ability.
Accept the 24/7 nature of the job.
Be able to deal with potentially stressful, deadline driven situations
Have reliable transport (car driver)
Salary up to 18-20k depending on experience
