Draexlmaier is one of the world's leading suppliers of premium automotive interiors and electrical wiring systems and as part of our continued growth,we are looking for an experiencedQuality Engineer to join our team andtake responsibility forthe achievement of set variable reduction targets to ensure delivery of quality within the function. This role will be the interface between the core engineering team, programme management, manufacturing and the customer and will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvement measures to reduce variation during the entire product (Interior systems) lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify potential variability reduction projects and drive quality, cost and timing objectives from concept into production and vice versa
- Conduct root cause analysis internally, with supplier's & Customer ensuring Draexlmaier's performance is up to customer targets / expectations.
- Communicate the principles of Perceived Quality (PQ) to the engineering community to encourage adherence
- Review and re-write internal Standards including component technical specification and testing procedures in line with PQ intent.
- Audit initial prototype vehicle builds to raise early PQ concerns and find Solutions.
- Assess PQ performance of physical components as they are produced, on-site at the suppliers if required.
- Raise, take ownership and solve PQ Issues using the practical problem solving (PPS) process.
- Create a PQ Roadmap for both self-funding and on-cost Programme improvements.

Skills and experience required:

- Degree educated in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
- Sound knowledge of vehicle interior & electrical systems
- Previous experience of working with an OEM and OEM Tier 1 supplier
- Demonstrable experience of working in Quality Assurance and managing suppliers and customers
- Some experience of CAD software (ideally CATIA) would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- German speaking (desirable but not essential)
- Six Sigma green belt certified
- Willingness to undertake regular international business trips
