Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: GBP35k + Shift premium of 10% will also be paid.

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Stratford Upon Avon, Coventry

The Client: A major manufacturer within the food industry

The Role:

Will be responsible for the maximizing of plant availability on a range of process and packing lines that demand high uptime 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Key Duties:

• To carry out repairs to equipment to ensure the availability for production.
• To carry out planned maintenance activities, considering statutory responsibilities, plant histories, delay analyses and using knowledge of process, and plant.
• To ensure safety standards in the area are maintained and safe working procedures are implemented and adhered to at all levels.
• To clearly implement and demonstrate the required approach to process safety requirements in the area of responsibility - this to include Food safe and hygiene processes etc???
• Ensure that product is manufactured to the required quality and legality standards as set out by the company as well as maintaining an awareness of basic food hygiene.
• At all time to be aware and observant of Health & Safety Regulations.

This is a Food factory and priority will be given to Engineers with the following experience:
This will include bulk ingredient preparation and mixing, refrigeration, pumping, mixers, liquid and air filtration, instrumentation and control systems. Also, some automated conveying and pallet handling, metal detectors and weighing systems.

Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post as requested by the line manager or Head of Department/Division.

1. A recognized Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
2. A recognized Electrical qualification such as City and Guilds or Level 3 NVQ Electrical engineering.
3. Had good hands on experience of the repair of mechanical systems

4. Experience of installation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical systems.
5. Control instrumentation fault diagnosis and repair for example level and conductivity probes, flow, pressure and temperature.
6. Experience of the maintenance, fault finding and repair. A minimum of 5 years experience "hands on" in an automated environment with high machinery uptime demands.
7. Demonstrable experience in the delivery of continuous improvement and team working, preferably in multifunctional teams
8. P.C literate (Word, Email, Internet)
9. A good communicator able to report on issues and make suggestions for improvements in person, by writing or email.
