Due to the forthcoming government initiative "Making Tax Digital", my client, a leading accountancy practice seeks a Book Keeper to join their Cannock office.

The Role:

The key tasks of the Book Keeper will be as follows:

  • Dealing with the day to day VAT processing.
  • Liaising with clients over accounting issues.
  • Assisting in the processing of quarterly returns for both companies and individuals.
  • Processing payments on behalf of clients.

The Person:

We need someone with previous book keeping experience. Ideally you would need to have an understanding or working knowledge of one of the following packages:

  • Sage one
  • Xero
  • Quickbooks

In addition you will be highly numerate, have great attention to detail and able to follow process effectively. You will also have a positive customer service manner and good problem solving and customer service skills.

The Package:

The basic salary is £18k to £21k

Pension (after probationary period)

20 days holiday + stats
