Field Based Sales Engineer
Based in Birmingham covering either the South or North of the UK
Salary Up to £29k with a generous car allowance

A heat treatment company that dominates the market with spares and after market technology is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to take over an established base of customers due to the retirement of one of their successful Sales Engineers
Visiting established customers throughout either the South or North of the UK selling spares, repairs etc The offering is quite unique and is not a hard sell
The customer base is mainly any industry that uses furnaces ie: Foundries, Automotive, aerospace or forging industries. These are established and loyal customers and you will get lots of repeat business
The average value of order is from £100 - £20k
As well as growing existing business, and following up on leads you will also be expected to spot opportunities fo new business
The daily acitivites will involve being office based on Monday in order to make appointments and plan the field visits, being out on the road attending pre confirmed appointments Tuesday to Thursday and returning to the office on a Friday to complete paperwork etc leaving at 1.00 on a Friday afternoon.
You will need to have experience of working as a sales engineer and forging relationships with Engineering managers
Knowledge of the Heat Treatment industry would be ideal, but is not essential, however, as you will be dealing with production and engineering managers on a day to day basis you would need to have a good technical mindset especially towards maintenance
