My client, a large distribution company based in the West Midlands, are currently seeking a Site GM for their fast paced operation.

The ideal candidate will come from either an FMCG, food or drinks environment.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plan for site
  • Ensure clear goals and objectives are in place for all site activities
  • Through site management team ensures all corporate and fiscal policies and procedures are adhered to
  • To provide leadership, management to staff, ensure department achieves the required level of performance and customer service
  • Develop mid and long term plans for site
  • Ensure all corporate and fiscal reporting is done to required standard and on time
  • Ensure regular site meetings and communication sessions are held
  • Delivery of KPIs and SLAs
  • Maximising accuracy, productivity and space utilisation
  • Ensuring daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished
  • Effective leadership of operational and administration teams

  • Development and retention of staff
  • Ensure personal and career development plans are in place for all staff
  • Set clear objectives for all contract staff
  • P&L Management

  • Motivating staff and driving a culture of health and safety and continuous improvement

Profile

  • Having managed in a fast-moving distribution environment and have experience of budgetary controls and KPI management
  • Demonstrate strong and proven leadership skills and be able to employ a range of methods to fully energise others and lift performance
  • Possess excellent communication and IT skills and an ability to work well within a team
  • Display a flexible and proactive approach in order to meet and exceed operational objectives
  • Be able to demonstrate how you maintain and encourage good employee relations and promote an environment of a strong safety and people management culture
    • Man Management skills and experience required
    • "Can do" attitude

    • Needs to be able to work on own initiative and be capable of building relationships internally

    • Must be a clear and concise communicator, with good written and verbal reporting skills

      • Educated to degree level or equivalent

      Job Offer

      Salary on Offer is £60,000 + package (Car, Bonus, Health care)
