Collections Officer

We are recruiting for Collections Officer in the Shirley area.

As Collections Officer you will need to have:

- Excellent communication skills
- IT literate
- Quick to learn new systems
- Remain calm under pressure
- Good problem solving skills
- English and Mathematics GCSE's (grade c or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a team and use own initiative

Details:

- Salary: Up to £21,000
- Working Hours: Between 8am and 9pm (Monday to Friday) 37.5 Hours per week
- Location: Shirley
- Duration: Permanent

Role of a Collections Officer:

- Efficiently and effectively recover any monies
- Communicate with customers in arrears by telephone and agree payment arrangements
- Examine accounts in arrears and determine the appropriate action
- Identify vulnerable/sensitive customers and agree payment arrangements in line affordability
- Be empathetic with customers and understand their circumstances
- Manage, organise and update systems
- Be highly professional
