We are looking for an experienced sous chef to join a fantastic four star hotel in the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham.

The hotel is a very popular wedding and events venue that also boasts a beautiful 2AA rosette restaurant. They also have a carvery, afternoon tea and bar menu offering, making it an appealing hotel for both social and professional visits.

The position of Sous chef will require a very strong leader, a great communicator and a chef with strong organisational skills. You will be responsible for the entire kitchen operation in the absense of the head chef and will undertake duties of staff training, stock takes, ordering and menu developments. The position is working 5 days out of 7 and to a 45 hour per week contract.

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years experience working at Sous chef level, will have experience working in a mutli outlet kitchen and will be able to maintain high kitchen / food standards. You will be able to input menu ideas and be competent in all back of house management duties.
