CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Part Time Receptionist Monday to Friday 12pm-5pm to join the team located in Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide first-rate customer service, using initiative, excellent communication skills and prompt action in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the client site.

Role Summary:

  • Be efficient in the operation of the Avaya switchboard/telephone service

  • Handle external and internal calls professionally; determine purpose of the call and transfer or direct call to the appropriate personnel or department

  • Take and relay messages efficiently

  • To be familiar with staff extensions and the location and services provided by the various client offices in order to enable the provision of an efficient service

  • Provide a prompt and courteous service at all times

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, use initiative and manage changing priorities as they arise

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to work as a reliable, efficient and flexible member of the team thereby contributing to team success

  • Ensure cleanliness of work area at all times

  • Maintain an inventory of office supplies

  • Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, receiving and sending email, photocopying, collating reports and other documents

  • Deputise on main reception as requested

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a telecommunications or customer facing role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience of complaint handling

  • Excellent time-keeping

  • Working accurately, under pressure and adhering to tight deadlines

  • Working as an excellent team member but also being able to work on own initiative

  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)

  • A good standard of education - A levels or equivalent

  • Customer Service - owns the customer’s journey; professional at all times; meets commitments

  • Problem solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
