Our client is a National Education Provider who are looking for an experienced National Operations Manager to join their expanding team, based remotely from home.


  • Responsibility for 2 team leaders and 13 account executives

  • Management of the account management and retention of our existing and new customers to retain and grow our market share

  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to integrate new customers and give them a world class experience

  • Working across the business to ensure that the customers needs are met from a product, service, quality and growth perspective

  • Leading on the customer retention and growth strategy across the business

  • Maximising the long-term growth potential of the company

  • Lead, provide performance management and develop an account management strategy to achieve income target and KPIs as well as key business objectives.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure we have the right products aligned to our customer and business priorities

  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure we have a retention strategy that fits across our customer experience needs

  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in the education sector, customer activity, funding and the companies products and services

  • Ensuring that the account execs work closely with appropriate teams across the company to make sure customers’ needs are met and exceeded.

  • Line manage the Team Leaders and responsible for the performance of the account exec team

  • Support in the management of Business Development teams resources, and setting team and individual targets to deliver the desired outcomes of the Business Plan.

  • Inspire, motivate and coach the team to achieve their goals.

  • Support in the management of the annual operating budget for the team.

  • To provide positive leadership and influence teams across the company to drive business development strategy.

  • Responsible for the retention and growth of existing business across the UK

  • Contribute to the development, monitoring and delivery of the companies Business Plan

  • To understand and feedback market insight and the impact of key policy changes to evaluate further market penetration opportunities

  • Support the development and execution of sales and marketing campaigns to increase customer awareness of products and services to hit targets

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers, stakeholders and education sector contacts

  • Provide guidance and advice on company products, services and their potential application to maximise sales

  • Devise and Deliver a variety of customer and stakeholder based information events

  • Work closely with the Customer Development team to develop a retention process

  • Support the representation of the company at national conferences , policy events and exhibitions -providing evaluation on ROI for future event planning

  • Feedback customer insight to ensure an understanding of our customers and our sector is reflected in core management decisions.

  • Set expectations for the account team including targets and competency expectations

  • Champion sales & account management strategies and manage change processes with team

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Full driving licence

  • Experience of working in a similar/comparable role

  • Solid line management/staff supervision experience

  • Project management experience

  • Account management skills

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good grammar and spelling

  • Demonstrable word processing, data entry, spreadsheet and email skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

Salary is £45k plus OTE, Car or Allowance, enhanced holiday and pension package
