My client is looking for an immediately available shift operations manager in Rugby, who can join their operation on a 12 month basis with opportunity to go permanent. You will be a experience shift manager/operations manager and looking to join a global business.

Description

As manager of the Warehouse & Logistics Operations, you will:

Manage Inbounds:

o Ensure parts received and are correctly transacted and allocated

o Ensure parts received by the 3rd party Logistics provider are correctly transacted and within the agreed timelines

o Provide customs clearance instructions when required

Manage Outbounds:

o Ensure parts are picked and packed by the 3rd party Logistics provider according to requirements and within the agreed timelines

o Analyse pending outbounds on a weekly basis

o Coordinate special customer requests between the warehouse and the OTR teams globally

Manage the 3rd Party European central warehouse:

o Daily contact and management

o Organize and lead weekly meetings

o Prioritize orders when needed

o Manage and track issues and improvements

o Implement and improve processes and procedures

Manage Inventory accuracy:

o Investigate and rectify inventory discrepancies and anomalies using experience, SAP and Supply Chain Best Practices

o Manage, liaise and coordinate with 3rd Party Logistics Provider, ensuring smooth flow of inventory

o Liaise with Global Service Centres with regards to inventory management and stock replenishment

o Initiate, liaise and coordinate Perpetual and Cyclical Inventory Count of all inventories

o Implement procedures to ensure warehouse storage spaces and warehouse processes are optimized at all times

Provide expertise on

o Knowledge of International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), International Shipping Regulations and ISO standards

o documentation accompanying consignments including commercial invoices, tariff codes, export control tag, packing slips, Incoterms and other customs documentations

o SAP Material Master, Inventory, Warehouse and Purchasing modules

* Own and ensure continuous improvement of systems and processes at all times

* Manage and lead the team locally in inbound and outbound logistics processes, application for export licences where required

* Hazardous materials shipped in accordance with UK/EU legislation and that of the destination countries

* Dispatch of goods and compilation of shipping documents in accordance with GE procedures

* All export/importation controls in accordance with UK/EU and country of destination guidelines and laws

Practice general 5S housekeeping:

* Ensure that goods or paperwork do not accumulate

* Ensure that Clear Desk Policy is maintained at the end of each working day

Profile

Qualifications / Requirements:

* Educated to degree or HNC levels or equivalent

* Driving license

* Must be experienced with SAP Inventory Management, Material Master, Purchasing & Warehouse Modules

* Knowledge of multi logistics software collaboration an advantage

* Advanced user of Microsoft Excel

* User of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Outlook

* Detail and numbers oriented with exceptional organisational skills

* Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities

* Demonstrated ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner

* Must possess effective written and oral communication skills

* Must be customer focused in the provision of service

Experience:

* A working background showing a progression of inventory, materials and or related logistics positions

* Global Logistics Management with ability to manage multi-site inventories

* A working understanding of warehouse management and stores procedures

* Preparation of export/import documentation

* An understanding of process flow to minimise movements within a warehouse
