Marketing Officer

Assignment: Temporary - immediate start - running until the end of November 2017
Salary: £14-£15/per hour

Working across marketing activity and digital, this role will include a variety of tasks from providing administrative support, to producing CRM content, web and digital campaigns. The post holder will have the opportunity to work across a number of strategic projects in marketing, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing and Communications Manager.

Suited to someone with excellent communication and organisation skills, looking to further develop their career in marketing.

Provide day-to-day support across marketing, including:

- Assisting in the production of content
- Support on reputational and recruitment campaigns
- Assist in the editorial process - Writing content for online and other mediums
- Measuring and reporting on activity
- Liaise and respond to external marketing requests and partners where relevant
- Liaise with the Creative Media team in relation to print projects
- Provide additional support to a range of marketing activities, events and campaigns, as specified by the Marketing Managers
- This includes sourcing and booking media, coordinating the production and sending of artwork, organizing photography and other design schedules and providing input to the future direction of the campaign

Support the creation and development of web content:

- Uploading content to the CMS system, checking with care and accuracy on content, and advising on the best approach
- Acting as an advocate for site structure and advising others on best practice
- Uploading images, video and documents
- Supporting the development of new functionality
- Writing web content in line with tone of voice and style guidelines


- Degree level education or equivalent work experience
- An interest or experience of working in a marketing environment
- Excellent standard of written and oral communication, with copywriting experience for a breadth of audiences
- Appreciation of language used in digital marketing (CRM, social media)
- Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, with real attention to deadlines and detail
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
- Team player
- Computer literate, confident and competent in the use of database systems and electronic communication
- Ability to work under own initiative and juggle multiple priorities at once
- To be a genuine people person
- Someone who enjoys working with others and has proven experience of building relationships with colleagues at all levels and an ability to maintain a wide range of often complex relationships
