JT Recruit are looking for a confident and highly competent Lifeguard with the ability to ensure the highest level of safety, well-being and conduct of all personnel in and around the Swimming Pool.

The Responsibilities;

Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Ensure the safety and good conduct of all swimming pool users at all times through the highest levels of lifeguard supervision
- Comply with the Swimming Pool Health and Safety Legislation
- Comply with all Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action plans as laid down in Pool Safety Operating Procedures - act as first line lead in an emergency
- Educate all users in safe practice and procedures
- Maintain a usage log
- Ensure correct setting up/taking down of equipment to maximise efficiency of the activity programme
- Ensure the changing rooms and swimming pool areas are clean and tidy before each session - maintain a high standard of facility hygiene
- Maintain an acceptable level of fitness as required by the RLSS to be able to recover an adult from the pool
- Report safety hazards or deficiencies likely to render any area unsafe with the appropriate priority
- Patrol poolside/changing/ancillary areas as required
- Take readings and water samples from the pool on a daily basis, keeping appropriate records to ensure the swimming pool meets recommended and legislated quality measures
- Assist in other day-to-day operations of the Swimming Pool, as directed by the Amenities Manager/Lifeguard Supervisor
- Actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes and the law
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as determined by the Interserve Line Management, including support to RN extraneous events and other Swimming Pool organisations under contract and occasionally office based support, when required

The Candidate must be;

- Reliable,
- Well-motivated
- Confident with the ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Good judgement and attention to detail with the presence and personal qualities necessary to establish credibility at all levels.
- Ability to supervise swimming pool users utilising good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Discrete with good customer facing skills and a flexible approach to working hours,

As well as:

- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (in date) (Essential)Experience in similar role (desirable) with requisite level of fitness
- Record of in-house Lifeguard Training
- Trained in First Aid (highly desirable)
- IOSH Working Safely Certificate (desirable).
- DBS Cleared

The Details;

- Working Hours; 2-3 hours daily for a maximum of 10 days
- Location; Smallwood Manor, Uttoxeter
- Pay Rate; £8.50PH
