Compliance Director - Home Based - Covering; Kent, Cheshire, Nottinghamshire and Southampton

A leader in their industry, this high tech processing facility is looking to recruit a Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Director to join their fast paced well established organisation covering multiple sites. The ideal Compliance Director will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma and hold Chartered membership of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).

You will have experience of operating at board level and have a passion for safety and well-being. You must have experience of working with the Environmental Agency in relation to permits and exemptions with strong knowledge of quality assurance and the management and maintenance of Quality systems.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years' experience in any of the following industries; Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Waste Management or Construction. The successful candidate will have strong influencing skills and proven experience of managing ISO management systems; ISO14001/ BS OHSAS18001 and ISO9001 within a similar environment.

As the Compliance Director you will work with the depot managers and others to develop and maintain a compliance plan for individual depots and ensure the appropriate targets are set, monitored and achieved.

You will act as lead of the 'Project Executive in conjunction with the board members, as designated by the board, to provide leadership and direction in implementing board-approved infrastructure and operational projects.

You will actively promote best practice and monitor any incident/accident statistics, identifying any trends and implementing improvements. You will promote and communicate a positive Health and Safety culture and communicate with regulatory bodies, insurance representatives and external auditors with regards to all Health, Safety and Environmental performances.
