Accounts Assistant

Elmdon Trading Estate, near the Birmingham International Train Station

Free Parking

This is a temp to perm role - temporary for upto 3 months and then goes permanent, weekly pay until the role goes permanent and then monthly

GBP18K to GBP21K per annum

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm = 30 minutes lunch

Raise purchase orders

Receive, verify and process onto system all purchase invoices, cash expense forms and credit card expense forms

To maintain and reconcile supplier accounts and raising queries with suppliers

Maintain and reconcile all cashbooks on a daily basis

Prepare suppliers payment runs

Assist with VAT quarterly returns, monthly EC and intrastate returns

Monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts

Debt collection via telephone

Assist with costing of stock

Dealing with various currencies

Must have accounts experience with cash books, VAT, bank reconciliations, debits and credits

Ideally AAT qualified, however not essential

Using basic Excel in the role

Good organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
