This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven individual to accelerate their IT career as an Apprentice Infrastructure Technician for a Coventry-based organisation. As part of a Level 3 IT Apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience; industry recognised Microsoft, CompTIA and ITIL qualifications all whilst earning a decent salary.

Here's what you'll be doing as a Customer Technical Support:
During your first 6-8 months as an Apprentice Customer Technical Support, your role will involve a lot of travel to gain the experience of the niche equipment allowing you to excel in your role. During this time, there will be a requirement got you to visit their parent company in Finland for up to 2 weeks at a time. You also will be given extensive manufacturer training and ongoing remote support as it is necessary for you to keep up to date with the latest technologies relating to your role.

Be able to install, service, test and calibrate all equipment manufactured at a customer's premises on occasion
Maintain accurate records and essential management of stock
Become the UK in-house expert.
Keep up-to-date with current computer technology (hardware and software) as far as necessary and relevant for this function.
Remotely assist and guide equipment repair via phone support to the end-user.
Provide remote support via online access to the customer system for either end-user customers or distributor partners.
Be able to assist with spare part identification and helping customers through the ordering process.
Carry out customer training on equipment operation during installation when required.
Interpret computer aided design drawings for customer projects and installations.
Working as part of a team maintaining our ISO 9001 documentation.
Working with the Field Technical team on their internal Technical Knowledge bank.
These duties may take place at the customer's premises, the service centre, or other locations as required strictly by the business needs.

What experience and skills do I need?
You'll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.

Therefore, you'll have the following skills:

A can-do attitude and a logical approach to problem solving
The ability to communicate at all levels within a customer's operation
Excellent time management skills whilst simultaneously achieving high level of quality and productivity
Show clear initiatives on expanding technical know-how in accordance with the product portfolio and business development
Apply logical thought processes to work through and solve problems
A good basic understanding of mechanical and pneumatic engineering
Ability to read and understand computer aided design drawings
A broad understanding of networking and connectivity
A high level of computer literacy
**Please note - as this is a level 4 apprenticeship, we can't progress candidates forward if they hold any of the following qualifications: Undergraduate / Masters Degree, HND / HNC or Certificates of Higher Education.**
