Are you an experienced Family Support Worker? Can you effectively complete evidence based assessments and detailed observations of children and families? I have the perfect role for you working in Coventry.

You will be working for one of countries leading Family Assessment Centres who's ethos is to safeguard children and ensure that there approach is always child centred. A salary of GBP17,000- GBP26,000 is being offered, dependent on qualifications and experience. Company benefits include

Duties and responsibilities include

* Working a shift pattern which includes days and evening shifts ,weekends and Bank holidays
* Undertaking assessments based on detailed observations of children and families within a residential setting.
* Recording interactions between children and families for assessment purposes.
* Activity promote the organisations commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
* Completing sessions with families promoting positive parenting, giving the appropriate advice and guidance in accordance with their work programmes

The ideal candidate must have

* Experience of working directly with children and families.
* Relevant training in working in a residential and community based setting.
* Excellent communication skills verbally and the ability to express in written form
* Ability to complete complex reports.
* A patient and calm personality and able to diffuse volatile situations.
* Knowledge and a clear understanding of the National Care Standards, Safeguarding and other relevant legislation
* Practical skills to offer families i.e. cooking, household skills, budgeting and importantly parenting skills
* The ability to work as part of a staff team
* A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
