This Chemistry Teaching Assistant position involves supporting teaching and learning throughout the Science Department for the duration of the 2017/18 academic year. The role will ideally suit a Chemistry graduate who has achieved at least a 2:1 in their degree and wishes to gain classroom experience before training to be a teacher. Part of your role will include managing smaller intervention groups and individual sessions.
The successful candidate for this Teaching Assistant role will be an enthusiastic and confident graduate who possesses a motivational approach to learning and excellent subject knowledge. We want to recruit a graduate who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the class and rationally handle challenges. You should be able to clearly outline your reasons and interests in becoming a teacher and easily develop relationships with pupils and teachers.
