Our prestigious client based in Bournville, Birmingham is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Demand & Fulfilment Planner to work within our Clients ever expanding Customer Services department on an initial 3 month contract.
This is a brilliant opportunity for the chosen candidate to work in a very modern and luxurious working environment. The successful Demand & Fulfilment Planner will be working a 36-hour week with access to onsite parking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring the plant supply plans deliver sufficient stock into UK&I to meet demand in line with sales, inventory, waste and customer service targets
  • The Demand & Fulfilment Planner works closely with many stakeholders to ensure production is aligned with the sales forecast
  • The main contacts for the role are Replenishers, Demand Managers, Customer Planning, Supply Hub, Customer Service and Demand Planning
  • Maintain weekly demand based on live sales order consumption for the country for the 8 week horizon to enable them to create a robust supply plan to meet sales forecast, inventory, waste and service targets
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the short-term delivery plans and manage product availability issues with key stakeholders (Hubs, Demand Manager, Customer Planning) to ensure best for business decisions are made to optimise sales and service whilst minimising waste
  • Review consumption versus forecast and liaise with key stakeholders to manage potential availability issues and the impact of under consumption
  • Ensure appropriate system demand management is in place to maintain the integrity of the 0-12 week forecast, recommend changes to the product sales status, manage the allocation process and control the acceptance/rejection of short term demand changes
  • Escalate service risks to the appropriate forums to drive timely decisions
  • Manage product launches against the business stock policy and escalate / work with PCM and suppliers to resolve issues that cause a deviation from that policy to optimise customer service.
  • Manage working capital in line with business targets and minimise finished goods and WIP obsolete stocks, communicating any end of programme / lifecycle / discontinuation obsolete stocks for clearance
  • Manage replenishment plans within pre-defined inventory boundaries and review the boundary analysis as required to recommend any amendments
  • Manage all aspects of the creation of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in line with the agreed supply plan and manage transport bookings as required to ensure all stock is received into the country in time
  • Ensure all data (SAP) is maintained in a timely and accurate manner
