We are now on the lookout for a highly motivated Assistant Category Manager who is looking to take that all important step in their career and gain experience in a commercial environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity fora graduate to join an ambitious and well established team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Category Managers to achieve profitable sales and margin growth across the category whilst managing the supplier interface.
Some of your key responsibilities as Assistant Category Manager will include:
- Responding to daily pricing queries, via telephone, email and a SG terms system
- Maintaining Supplier purchase data files and translating this to Rebate Forecast files
- Building relationships with key suppliers and internal customers (Branch operations and Sales)
- Analyse market share and competitor information for the Interior Solutions Category

For the Assistant Category Manager Role we will be looking for you to specifically demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
Strong communication skills, with a persuasive and tenacious approach
Good Business acumen and commercial awareness
IT/PC literate essential, particularly Microsoft Excel & Office
Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced environment and manage own workload
We aim to ensure that our Category team delivers a great service to our customers, this role is therefore key to our business and will require someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders at all levels.
