My client, a successful manufacturing organisation offering a uniquely varied production environment, needs a Production Engineer with strong engineering, manufacturing and project skills to join their Production Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate level engineer looking for your next career challenge.


Working as part of a team with your own areas of responsibility, you'll solve problems, drive improvements, deliverprojects and manage new products into production. The right person will find this role stimulating and interesting and you will be stretched and challenged.

To succeed in this role you will need strong communication, time and project management skills and be able to work on multiple projects in conjunction with engineering teams across the business.


As a successful Production Engineer you will:

- Provide day to day support to the production process.
- Undertake continuous improvement activities and problem solving activities using lean tools and techniques.
- Own and deliver projects ranging from tooling and jigs and fixtures to high-tech production equipment, new processes and bringing new products into production.
- Manage product changes and introduce new products into the business (NPI).

You should be qualified to at least HNC/D or Degree level in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject and have experience of production engineering / manufacturing engineering, ideally in an assembly or component production environment.

You will be self-motivated and able to manage yourself and others as you will be contributing to cross-functional engineering teams in order to solve problems and implement developments and improvements.

Your engineering ability and understanding is important but equally so is your communication skills and ability to manage projects and people to achieve your objectives.

You will enjoy working with a highly motivated team at an exciting time in the company's development, contributing towards the manufacture of high quality products in the UK.
