We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Technical Design Authority to join Traffic area of our business - you will be responsible for the overall OSS solution design, implementation and migration from current systems;

Role Profile/experience:

  • Key Objectives:

    • Responsible for overall SMS solution design, implementation and migration from current NRTS 1 systems
    • Overall responsibility for the logical, physical and data architecture for the:
      • Business, NPMD & Service Management applications which form the SMS
      • Overall ICT Infrastructure.
    • Integration and interfacing of applications within the overall SMS, and with the Customer's systems
    • Technical management of sub-contractors
    • Selection and provisioning of application, data centre and infrastructure products
    • Transition of service into production
    • Overall SMS data model design and specification,
    • Data migration process from the existing systems to the SMS,
    • Testing of data migration process
    Production data migration to the new SMSn

  • Process, procedures, handbooks and training

Business Operations Skills - Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in System Design, Project Engineering Management and design authority roles for OSS deployments
  • Broad technical knowledge in OSS products/solutions
  • Ability to set and manage against a budget
  • Strong specific experience in HP IT Service Management tools
  • Effective planning and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent consultative skills
  • Ability to work within challenging timescales
