Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Governance)

As a Barclays Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Governance), you'll play a key role in our Chief Control Office (CCO), a newly created business area which provides a single controls strategy for Barclays UK (BUK). You will work within the Quality Assurance team, supporting Mortgages in providing regular assurance, while ensuring that effective oversight of business and customer risk is maintained. About us:
You will head up the Quality Assurance function, leading a Team that undertakes a schedule of risk based quality assurance assessments using the defined Risk Methodology and providing support to our business colleagues in respect of the delivery of key internal/external governance commitments e.g. Controls Testing; Advice quality checking; and adherence with our Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Governance), your main responsibilities will involve:
* Leading a team that undertakes a schedule of risk based quality assurance assessments and controls testing, using the defined risk methodology
* Undertaking targeted control interventions and assurance, managing the resolution and remediation of conduct risk issues where required, to maintain a green control environment
* Providing robust, effective and insightful reporting, analysis and communication to provide assurance to senior management that the business is compliant with the defined governance framework
* Operating effectively across Mortgages, to share best practices and seek synergies in the control and quality assurance framework mechanisms, identifying opportunities to continuously improve

As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Governance), your skills and qualifications will include:
* Experience in risk management and audit, as well as proven success in project or change management and assessment of the impacts this has upon the internal control environment
* Detailed knowledge of the mortgage, general insurance regulations industry
* Proven experience of influencing senior stakeholders, including briefing and presentations
* An experienced people leader, providing leadership through bringing together insight from analyses and external knowledge
* Experienced in successfully dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions, who have different objectives, including those from internal audit, risk, compliance, fraud, legal
