The role of Project Consultant is critical to the success of our business and you will need to be able to deliver projects, as well as write bids and win work. The role will initially focus on the business support services, with a view to broadening skills, knowledge and understanding so that you can also support our research and evaluation, and software offerings. Based from our Head Office in central Birmingham, you will be required to travel in order to manage client projects and win additional work.

On a day to day basis, you will:

Win Work:

  • maximising existing customer and client relationships
  • identify prospects and write proposals/respond to ITTs
  • write and deliver presentations, reports and other collateral to help raise awareness of the Company and our offer
  • support the development of new products and services through research in to new opportunities and development of new offerings

Deliver work:

  • be the intellectual owner of projects and our domain expert
  • from smaller projects to be both the intellectual owner and project manager
  • ensure that client expectations are met in the delivery of projects, by ensuring that specifications are clearly communicated and documented and by keeping the client involved throughout the project delivery
  • to provide support and guidance to clients to assist with the adoption and integration of the products and services developed
  • to have responsibility for the income and profitability of client projects
  • to ensure projects are delivered in line with Company quality and impact targets

Experience:

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business support environment and managing client-facing projects
  • Track record of writing bids and proposals and responding to tenders to successfully win work
  • Experience of writing and delivering presentations
  • Experience of motivating and managing project teams to deliver on time, in scope, to budget and to client satisfaction
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly

Desirable:

  • PRINCE2 project management
  • Awareness of ISO20252
