As Desk Business Development Manager you’ll be working in partnership with BT and Field Sales Experts to qualify and close new business sales. While gross profit will be your primary driver you’ll be expected to sell an exciting mix of BT services. You’ll be supported by marketing and product campaign programmes although the majority of your results will come from your own activity.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieving financial objectives
• Understanding of all elements of the Sales Cycle
• Uncovering, qualifying and closing business over the phone and face to face
• Building a good profile in the business community and on-line
• Developing a profitable network of referrers
• Maintaining an adequate funnel of opportunities and accurately forecasting results
• Articulating the BT and LEUK value proposition at executive as well as operational level

• Must be able to sell and close over the phone
• Must be able to work independently and proactively
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication ability
• Must have good numerical reasoning
• Must be able to present formally and demonstrate products
• Must be a relationship builder, networker and team player
• Must be able to handle high workloads and prioritise tasks
• Must be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Must be achievement oriented with a 'can do’ attitude

Experience Required
Proven experience in winning new business sales, ideally in the IT or Telecommunications market and proven track record in appointment setting.
