We have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Support Advisor to join our fast paced and enthusiastic On-boarding team on a permanent basis. Based at our Retail Support Centre (RSC) in Birmingham City Centre, the main objective of the HR Support Advisor is to assist in the delivery of a full recruitment administrative service to M&B, including all necessary On-boarding administration for Retail Management & RSC roles.

The role of the HR Support Advisor in the On-boarding team is varied and rewarding, and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Play an active part in a busy centralised HR Support team, providing administrative support to the HR Recruitment Team
  • Be responsible for sending all necessary documentation to new and prospective employees
  • Ensure that accurate and timely information is recorded in the HR and Recruitment systems
  • Prepare and issue new starter offer letters and documentation
  • Extend and close vacancies as outlined by the Recruitment Managers
  • Ensure all pre-employment checks are made, including licenses and legal working documentation where applicable
  • Update MTV (My Team Vacancies) for new openings / acquisitions / conversions
  • Produce and distribute accurate reporting (such as NVL) in a timely manner and in line with Departmental SLA’s
  • Chase outstanding documentation and references, as necessary
  • Respond to applicant’s queries, giving support where required
  • Accurate use of external websites, in line with company policy
  • Obtain comprehensive authorisation and coding for all invoices relating to recruitment agencies and other recruitment products as directed by the recruitment teams
  • Organise and book Recruitment / Development events, for RSC functions including RBM’s, and Graduates sending relevant documentation relating to the day where requested
  • Attend Recruitment / Development events, and provide support, together with administering tests and group exercises, for RSC employees where requested
  • All hiring actions and input to PeopleNet are checked for accuracy and are entered in line with MAB payroll cut off dates to ensure payments to new hires are not delayed
  • Obtain comprehensive authorisation and coding for all invoices relating to recruitment agencies and other recruitment products as directed by the recruitment teams
  • Any ad hoc duties required by the Team Lead

Job Requirements:

  • 'A’ Level standard of education including English and Maths
  • Interpersonal and team-work skills essential
  • Highly organised, ability to prioritise and excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HR processes
  • Works well under pressure
  • A great team player but has ability to work on own initiative
  • Integrity and tact
  • Good knowledge of Excel/Word
  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable
  • Previous HR administration experience preferred
