This a very exciting opportunity to work in software simulation and modelling of electric vehicle propulsion systems including hybrid control and battery management strategies for this global provider of pioneering engineering, research and test services for the automotive and military industries.

Applications are sought from recent software engineering graduates with some experience of developing software control strategies for automotive applications.

Key elements of this Graduate Software Engineer job:

- Software modelling of electric vehicle propulsion systems including hybrid powertrain control, ancillary systems control and battery management strategies
- Automotive strategy development through prototype modelling utilising MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
- Concept and development documentation

Candidate requirements for this Graduate Software Engineer job:

- Degree qualified
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow for the development of software control strategies and plant models
- Experience of working with requirements at system and software level
- Appreciation of Functional Safety
- Broad understanding of electrical and electronic systems
- Technical knowledge of some elements of electric / hybrid vehicle powertrains
