Our client is a multinational multisite organisation with around 30,000 colleagues in 40 countries. Their Automotive division creates intelligent solutions for the automotive world, working as a partner to provide components to almost every major vehicle manufacturer. Whether bodywork, chassis, or engine - the products, materials and technologies they develop and produce continuously set new standards.

As a result of continued growth they now require a Production Manager to join the existing team.

Senior Production Group Leader Responsibilities:

- Production area(s) or/and shift to ensure that business requirements are met.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance of the area(s), working with Health & Safety department to ensure a safe working environment.
- Deputising for the Operations Manager, by managing and leading the Group Leaders including regular communication, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensures adherence to business operating standards, through auditing, training, coaching etc.
- Utilising problem solving methods to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
- Working with the Operations Manager to optimise processes.
- Working in conjunction with other departments, to make improvements and resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensuring that customer requirements are met and any issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner and escalated accordingly.
- Supporting the Group Leaders to ensure continuity and consistent approach is maintained.
- To improve production by utilising continuous improvement methodologies (BIT)
- To develop and maintain transparency of production through data collection and visual management.
- Preparing reports to demonstrate progress
- Liaising with the wider business.

Senior Production Group Leader the Person:

- Relevant manufacturing / Engineering experience equivalent within automotive or fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Suitably qualified in either Manufacturing or Management
- NEBOSH National general certificate is desirable
- Previous management experience.
- Proven experience of managing workloads and both setting and achieving KPI's
- Possess excellent leadership qualities and be passionate about leading and motivating others to continuously improve performance, quality, costs and delivery.
- Advantageous if experienced in Lean manufacturing and robotic welding
- A confident communicator with assertiveness and drive for results.
