The Company: My client is one of the Life Science industry’s most admired and dramatic success stories having grown from start up to multi-million dollar conglomerate in less than 15 years.
The Role: You will be one of two people at this level supporting a UK-wide field sales team of 10 people (and an even larger internal sales organisation). Attending exhibitions and liaising with the industry’s key leaders and decision makers you will help promote my client’s range of ngs systems, consumables and ancillary products You will have the technical back-up and resources to assist you in marketing a wide range of products to both new and existing customers but doors will tend to open easily for you when representing this respected and market leading manufacturer.
Represents district or country during the development of the annual EMEA marketing plans. Provides input on local markets, needs, opportunities and KOL interactions
Works closely with local sales teams to execute on tactical marketing plan for sequencing and microarray portfolio with additional responsibilities in focus segment areas
Contributes to creation of impactful presentations for local seminars, workshops, tradeshows and conferences
Runs events, tradeshows, conferences, seminars with support of the Demand Generation Team
Provides detailed Voice-of-customer back to product marketing teams in USA
Regionalize product launches of new products and solutions to fit local market needs and trends
Helps to develop high value customer relationships in the district in collaboration with the Sales and Support teams.
Contributes to collaborations/strategic projects with Key Opinion Leaders for new products or applications development.
Drives the creation of local sales collateral (e.g. iCommunity articles, Application Notes, Success stories, customer testimonials etc.) in collaboration with the EMEA Programs team.
Assists with closing technical/competitive sales opportunities by providing domain expertise, competitive positioning and relevant scientific arguments.
Tracks competitive placements and contributes to quarterly market share and win/loss reports
Provides intelligence regarding funding opportunities in the district and shares with the local sales team and the wider EMEA Regional Marketing team
Contributes in Market Development projects and represents district/country in EMEA initiatives.
3 to 5 years of experience in a Life Science sales, marketing or business development role (or equivalent)
Strong background in molecular biology and genomics is required
Experience in genomics applications and the use of Next Generation Sequencing is an advantage
Well-developed professional and strategic thinking skills with proven ability to develop and grow customer relationships through networking at all levels of the customer account
Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
Proactive, results driven team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
Detail, action and customer oriented individual
