We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional Head of Care and Quality to ensure that our premium luxury retirement villages continue to provide high quality, safe and effective care to all of our residents. The Head of Care and Quality will lead and manage the compliance and governance for Richmond by driving clinical assurance initiatives and continuous improvements in our quality standards and customer experience, to deliver the exceptional care and service our residents expect.

This is a home-based role requiring travel across the UK to our 6 operational villages and some nights away from home, with approximately one day per week at our office in Southam, Warwickshire.

About the role

To develop, review and support the Clinical Quality Assurance strategy for Richmond's nursing care homes and domiciliary care services

You will work closely with our management team to identify and drive the initiatives required to maintain resident safety, clinical performance and quality of life

Deliver the quality assurance processes such as internal audits, complaints management and clinical skills development, and regularly review policies, procedures and paperwork

Oversee collation of quality metrics and reporting to senior management to support with the management of clinical risk, identify and address any quality issues, and implement the learning from any incidents, audits, surveys etc

Ensure the development and delivery of a clinical audit programme at each village

Ensure all villages meet required CQC standards, and promote a positive approach to safety and risk management by implementing health & safety policies

Who we're looking for

A confident leader and subject matter expert in UK health & social care legislation, regulatory compliance, governance and the sharing of best practice

A proven track record in delivering significant continuous quality improvement in a similar environment

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

A Registered Nurse would be preferred, but not essential

Experience of developing links with healthcare professionals and organisations including CQC, NHS and PCTs

Experienced and confident in sharing specialist knowledge of clinical governance and auditing, aiding the learning and development of staff, and using ability to share learning and inspire others
