What's the role?

We’re looking for a proactive ON!Track Tagging Operative in Birmingham or surrounding areas to join our National ON!Track Team. This is no ordinary team however as our people come from all different backgrounds with a shared dedication to high performance, consistent results and outstanding customer service.

Who is Hilti?

If you’re new to the industry, you might not have heard of us. We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the global construction sector. We have a proud heritage, built over 75 years, and a worldwide reputation for pioneering products and exceptional service. With some 25,000 people in more than 120 countries, which we’re looking to expand, we’re a great place for you to show us your worth, step up to new challenges and grow your career.

What does the role involve?

As an ON!Track Tagging Operative you’ll be based in Birmingham, serving local clients ranging from sole traders to large construction projects. The role is primarily field-based, which will require a lot of travel in and around the Midlands. Occasionally you will be asked to join the team in Manchester for an Office Day where we can discuss results and any updates with ON!Track.

It’s a busy, hands-on role, where you will be visiting new ON!Track customers at their jobsites or warehouses, preparing and tagging their assets, commodities & consumables with specialised ON!Track asset management labels, entering this asset information into the customer’s ON!Track database and training customers on the uses and functionality available with ON!Track. You’ll develop broad product knowledge across the complete Hilti catalogue, which opens lots of career options for the future.

Between setting up new customers, you will occasionally support our regional sales teams in selling new ON!Track contracts by assisting with customer Management Meetings, On-site Analyses and Final Presentations.

Hilti UK is proud to rank in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2017.

What do we offer?

We will offer full training on how ON!Track works and best practices for tagging assets, but you will have the flexibility and freedom to improve these processes as you gain more experience. Whatever it takes to deliver exceptional results.

You’ll come up with ideas to appeal to your customers - like holding webinars or demonstration days - and devise training packages best suited to the needs you identify whilst working with ON!Track customers in the field.

In return for delivering consistent results, you’ll receive one-to-one career mentoring, as well as exciting opportunities to broaden your role and potentially move around the business.

Who should apply?

We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best account managers joined us with no experience. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.

What you need is:

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•An excellent customer-facing manner, ideally backed with retail experience
•A head for both business and technology
•A proactive personality and drive to succeed
•Ability to develop loyal customer relationships

If we’re impressed with your CV, we’ll invite you for an interview and introduce you to the team.
