And it enables insurance organisations to combat fraud.

We currently have an opening in our Global Advanced Analytics team within SAS Solutions on Demand, for an Associate Analytical Consultant / Data Scientist to provide analytical consulting services post sales to our Global client base, working on a number of projects across a variety of clients and industries, using our industry leading analytics software. We are looking for talented people with experience applying advanced analytics techniques to solve real world business problems, and who have the hunger and desire to become experts in SAS analytics solutions.

As the successful candidate, you will have a high quality degree in a technical or numerate subject, especially mathematics, statistics, data science, physics or computer science. As well as exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, you will have the ability to communicate complex concepts and solutions to our customer's business teams in the way that best suits the audience. You will have experience in at least one of the following advances analytics disciplines: statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, time series forecasting, text analytics, operational research; and will already be well versed in using analytics tools such as R or Python.

Any experience in the following will be desirable, but is not essential:

- SAS coding experience
- Experience with SAS Analytics tools such as SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics, SAS Forecast Studio
- Experience of end-to-end analytical projects
- Open-source
