My client is opening an exciting new 100% Vegan, Plant based healthy fast food restaurant based right in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.

We are recruiting for an experienced vegan, plant based Chef to lead a startup brand's kitchen in a fast paced, high volume environment. As this is a new brand we will require you to set up the kitchen from scratch including menu advice, costing, tasting, advice on set up of kitchen and equipment, training the staff.


Previous experience of working in a vegan eatery/restaurant

Have a proven track record, with at least 2 years' experience at senior level of successfully managing a kitchen and developing a team.

To continually strive to offer new food trends and ideas to the client with the overall purpose of developing exciting healthy menus and ensuring that the unit is continually offering new products

Be commercially minded in terms of GP margins & costs


100% Vegan food preparation Overseeing food ordering

Delivery of operations

Managing a team

Stock control- minimise food waste and adhering to GP levels

Conforming always with health and hygiene regulations

Communicating with suppliers


Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly by following the correct systems and procedures

Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic, making sure cleaning rotas are adhered to and records kept

Keep records of all invoices

Keeps all temp. log books and all subsequent admin. up to date

Cost sheets to be filled in of all the food bought

To report on a daily basis to management
