My client is currently recruiting for a Supply chain and Production Team Leader to join their team in Foston.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, positive team player, with good problem-solving skills that can be responsible for, and manage our straight forward purchasing process from placing an order through to dispatching built products to our customers. The role will include manager a team of 6 production members and 1 administrator.

This role will suit somebody coming from a Warehouse, Distribution, Production, or Manufacturing environment who has worked at a Team Leader level and is looking to widen their career prospects.

The working hours will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 530pm (specific hours to be agreed). My client is offering an attractive package including a salary of GBP30,000-GBP35,000 dependant on experience along with 23 days holiday plus bank holiday.

Main Responsibilities

• Forecast material requirements to meet production objectives

• Manage the purchasing process with our suppliers, ensuing orders are placed in a timely manner to ensure efficient production

• Ensure suppliers deliver the correct quantity and specification of materials, taking actions to correct variances

• Monitor stock levels in our main warehouse and several remote ones

• Maintain a good standard of order, and Health and Safety in the warehouse and production areas

• Manage team of production assemblers to ensure daily build targets are reached

• Maintain a high level of quality in production

• Liaise with Sales team to ensure order are dispatched as committed to our customers

• Manage the dispatch process to make sure the right product goes to the right customer at the right time

• To continually improve on our ordering, production and dispatch processes as new products are brought on stream

Ideal Candidate will have the following skills

• Strong organisational skills to schedule orders and plan production requirements

• Experience with dealing with foreign suppliers and long lead times

• Strong motivation skills and experience with leading a small assembly team

• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Experience

• SAP B1 experience would be an advantage

• Knowledge of general warehousing routines including stock management, stock takes, goods receipting

• Experience with dealing with road haulage companies and parcel companies

• Ability to communicate at all levels

• Fork lift truck licence for Reach Truck and Counter Balance Truck is desirable but not essential

• A good geographical knowledge of the UK

• A Full UK driving licence
