Lewtay Training is a fast-growing national training provider offering Levy and Non - Levy Apprenticeship Training. Our Apprenticeship programmes are interactive and learner focussed with maximum support from the organisation. Our programmes include Management, Team Leading, Customer Service, Health & Social Care, Warehouse & Storage and Childcare.

Due to our expanded growth, we are excited to recruit Childcare Assessors to deliver Childcare QCF Frameworks at level 3 and above. The candidate must have knowledge and experience of dealing with children and young people including early years and/or residential childcare. This position covers Herefordshire and Worcestershire regions. The position is offered on either a full or part time basis.

The role comes with a mileage allowance, laptop, pension (from October) and incentives.

The successful candidate must have previous experience of assessment as well as experience of the childcare standards.

You will be responsible for the training, assessment and support of a case-load of learners enrolled on the Apprenticeship Framework, or other work-based training programmes. Ensuring learners meet all the occupational standards needed to achieve their qualification.

Within the role you will be required to:

  • Observe and assess learners in their workplace.
  • Use an array of assessment techniques.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners.
  • Engage with employers to enable any additional support required for the learner is put in place.
  • Maintain up to date progress reviews for all learners with feedback to employers building successful working relationships.
  • Attend regular team and standardisation meetings.
  • Work closely with the assessment and internal quality team to support colleagues whenever possible.

The role involves travel to learners workplace and therefore requires a valid full driving licence with access to a vehicle. Performance is measured against a set of Key Performance Indicators covering learner retention, progress, unit achievement, timely reviews and framework completions. Quality is monitored and measured through the organisation's comprehensive quality assurance.

Essential qualifications needed: A1/TAQA/CAVA award

PTTLSV1 would be advantageous.

Occupationally competent in the field with a minimum of 12 months experience.
