A Desktop Support Engineer is required for a successful organisation based in Worcester
Your new role
The key responsibilities for the Desktop Support role will be to manage and support a range of IT support cases. Responsibilities will include diagnosing issues with desktop equipment ranging from 1st -2nd line support and also setup of new equipment.
You will complete a daily schedule to ensure the system is working as required and you will also be required to deal with server based changes /issues if needed.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you understand the key business activities within the organisation to effectively manage cases and improve IT knowledge with the user group. You will also be required to assist in creating an IT knowledge database for use by IT staff and users.
Key technologies that are essential are; Windows Server, Active Directory, VoIP, SQL queries, PowerShell, Firewall etc. You will look after all printing, PC, laptop & peripheral hardware and provide a great customer service skills and a drive to help improve the IT function.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
