Legal Recruitment Consultant

Birmingham, £30,000 - £35,000+ OTE (in first year)

Venn Group is seeking a legal recruitment consultant to join our market leading private practice legal division. We offer extensive training, a clearly defined path for career progression and a unique commission structure.

You will play a key role in attracting the best talent in the legal profession and placing them into law firms across the country. The role will be varied and stimulating and will see you:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the legal market, and individual firms specific requirements in order to find the right candidate for their vacancies
  • Manage job advertising by using a range of platforms, including websites and social media
  • Identify and approach candidates to maintain your candidate database
  • Updating social media to network with clients and candidates
  • Reviewing applications and creating shortlists of candidates for clients
  • Interviewing candidates and matching them to live job vacancies
  • Arranging interviews for candidates, preparing them beforehand, briefing them about the job in question and giving them feedback on their interviews
  • Negotiating salary and packages between the clients and candidates

Now is an exciting time to join as we have recently implemented a new commission structure which rewards high performing consultants whilst incentivising collaborative working . As a result of these changes the earning potential for ambitious and hardworking consultants has never been better. You can expect to earn a basic salary of £18,000 - £21,750 (depending on experience), with an expected first year OTE of £30,000-£35,000, with uncapped earning potential depending upon your success as a consultant.

This position would be ideally suited to an outgoing and ambitious professional of graduate calibre with excellent communication and organisation skills. Previous experience in recruitment or sales would be an advantage. Previous office experience is essential. A Legal background would also be advantageous although not essential as specific sector training will be provided.
