Are you an "outstanding" sales person confident in sales both over the phone and face to face? Are you an excellent relationship builder? Can you offer a consultative sales approach? Are you self-motivated and target driven? Are you a person who does not take "no" as the final answer and looks for ways to win a client over? Are you interested in the Legal and Dental industries? If so an opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Executive to work for one of the UK's leading events business for the Legal and Dental Sectors.

As a Business Development Executive you will be:

  • Able to win new business accounts from competitors
  • Generating new business through researching the market and actively sourcing new leads
  • Confident making a high volume of sales calls to clients, as this is a predominantly office based role
  • Able to overcome objections and think outside the box
  • Willing to make some clients visits off site
  • Confident at approaching new clients face to face at trade events
  • Able to develop excellent long term working relationships with clients
  • Keeping up to date records of all accounts on our in house database
  • Achieving both individual and team targets set throughout the year

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience within a similar sales focused role (media sales, event sales or B2B sales would be ideal but not essential)
  • Has proven experience in sales and achieving targets
  • Is able to deal with clients of all sizes from small accounts up to large national accounts
  • Has experience in selling a range of products, tailoring them to the client's needs
  • Can offer a consultative sales approach
  • Is able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Can hit the ground running
  • Has excellent communication skills both written verbal
  • Is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Has a good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Our package for you:The basic salary for this role is £17,000 - £20,000 dependent upon experience, and once trained on-target earnings will take the overall salary range to approx. £25,000 - £35,000. OTE is un-capped. We also offer an attractive pension scheme, free onsite parking and monthly, quarterly and annual sales bonus opportunities. And the opportunity to work in an amazing industry!Our working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 30 minute lunch break.
