Role overview

New opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with experience in business intelligence, reporting and analytics, to join our busy growing Commercial sector. Working with our clients, to understand their requirements and processes, this is a UK Mobile position where you will be required to travel across the UK..

Key responsibilities

- Use Agile techniques to drive requirements specification and product backlog.
- Elicit the business requirements using appropriate techniques such as interviews, workshops, analysis of existing systems and documentation
- Nurture and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Understand existing and future business reporting and analytical requirements, translating these into clear & concise specifications for handover to development resources ensuring also that any arising clarification queries are addressed to time/conclusion.
- Ensure business requirements are constructively challenged to ensure purpose, value and alignment with business or information processes, documenting these as appropriate.
- Drive the appropriate use, understanding and interpretation of management information across business
- Use the business information requirements to create mock-up reports and store within Confluence
- Update documentation for data mappings
- Define, Create and Maintain a business glossary encompassing both the business and technical definition of terms for all attributes, PI's and KPIs

Essential skills

- Necessity to be fully UK Mobile, working 5 days per week on client site across the UK.
- Experience in requirements gathering and process design for data warehouses, analytical/BI platforms and dashboards
- Strong Business Analysis leadership skills, ideally incorporating Business Analysis qualifications.
- Experience in the use of prototyping for MI requirements elicitation and refinement through e.g. Sun Models
- Effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills incorporating workshop planning and facilitation
- Demonstrable experience within Management Information environments as a Lead Business Analyst

Desirable skills

- Knowledge leading vendor BI tools and technologies such as Oracle, IBM, SAP, Qlik, Tableau, SAS etc.
- Strong experience of working in an Agile SCRUM environment
- Experience of working across multiple industry domains incl. e.g. business finance, procurement, IFRS
- Experience in retail, telco, media, utilities, transport and travel
- Knowledge/experience around Predictive Analytics.
